Description

In Eastern lands of Illenfar thousands of years ago, a huge groups of humans were enslaved by a long forgotten civilisation. Over the years, these humans somehow changed, shrinking in stature and morphing into the species known as ‘halflings’ in the modern day. Once free from their old masters, the halflings began for spread out. However, the nearby human kingdoms of yore offered them little sanctuary. In Halfling legend it is said their early kin were even hunted by humans considered their bones to be lucky.

As a result, Halflings stuck together for most of their early history - forming their own kingdoms and nations. They made for oddly adept seafarers along the many islands dotted along the southern coast of Illenfar, and have had their share of Pirate kings. These kingdoms have since dissolved however, mixing with their now amenable human kin, but still preferring a quiet country life (or life at sea).
