Session 2- Level 5 fireballs, Penis eater and the rise and fall of BIG MAN
Session 2 begins with our heroes charging into the fray once more to confront the warden and escape the island prison.
We’ve been here for a day, time flies.
As we entered the prison a large explosion caught our attention and we were greeted by a horrific sight. A large iron coffin had been forcibly exploded killing several guards and leaving their corpses strewn everywhere.
The party meets Lestadt a man? (defo a vampire c’mon) who seemed to not really make any attempt to flee the carnage but instead started to have a little bit of lunch eating the corpses and penises.
He informed us a woman was inside the coffin but was too busy finishing his meal to confirm details.
Clearly the group did the smart thing and backed the hell out of there eager to tackle the warden, when suddenly we saw a group of guards rush out to confront us but were blocked by BIG MAN, Mouse, Bandit and dwarf NPC.
Combat ensued and Mouse and BIG MAN lived! and we got some more intel where prisoners were held and headed to the warden’s quarters.
Oddly the door was unlocked and after some looting we came across a letter detailing the Daethian empire’s 2nd legion would be arriving in 1 week to coalesce and continue to Kairenya.
Realizing this and the immense danger the legion posed, a plan was made to recruit prisoners to help us man a ship to escape on.
On our way we were really stealthy and we encountered a familiar gang, Gregor, Tasrin Grodun and Dustin Volonov who after a brief chat agreed on our effort so far and to meet us in the courtyard.
We made further delvings into the prison and encountered Mariona who was hysterical after encountering the mysterious woman and said she was covered in blue tattoos wielding fire and had killed guard and prisoners alike, we then met up with Keslar and got further info on an escape and saw first hand evidence of the mysterious woman’s power as she’d blown the prison walls apart.
We then went back to rescue Osovold who we discovered was a peerless swordsman and sailor and agreed to help us.
We head to the courtyard and prepare for battle then suddenly the mysterious woman appears killing again indiscriminately and kills BIG MAN, we all decide to flee and use the passage we learnt about.
After making our way to the dock a brief scuffle happens where Gregor’s gang ditch us and leave us to fend off a group of crossbowmen unaware of the wider riot and the impending doom from the mysterious woman, Osovold bravely holds the guards off while the group escapes.
After rowing for a considerable time the group learns about each other and reaches the coast of Kairenya, though thoroughly exhausted by the ordeal the group levels up.
However, with no supplies and most likely soon to be hunted by the empire, the group plans their next move in a cave…
